Check back soon for the 2011 date!

On September 9, 2010, RMHC held its first Day of Change. Small change has allowed RMHC to grow to serve more children and families over the years. In 2009, we raised $19 million through the U.S. Donation Box program!  In the Corpus Christi area alone, we raised over $58,000, and all of that money came directly to Ronald McDonald House Charities of Corpus Christi.

During the RMHC Day of Change we made even bigger change by raising awareness for and giving to the Donation Box program.

At RMHC Corpus Christi, we are inviting you to make any day your Day of Change! Clean out your couch, your cars and your pockets for change and bring it to the House or to your nearby McDonald's. Invite your friends, family, Scout Troop or other organization to join you. One Brownie Troop caroled for change at Christmas. You can do chores for change, or come up with your own idea! Watch this video from RMHC Kansas City to see what four young girls did to raise $130 to help children and families.

RMHC Donation Boxes make it easy to donate and help children in our community. You can also get the whole family involved showing your kids how even the smallest gesture goes a long way to helping those in need.

RMHC Donation Boxes at McDonald's

Little by little, we can do a lot.

A dime here. A quarter there. It might not seem like much. But when millions give, the amount those coins help children and families worldwide is truly amazing.

The RMHC Donation Boxes are one of our biggest ongoing fundraisers. It’s from people like you filling the Donation Boxes with nickels, dimes and quarters. Last year alone, nearly $20 million was collected.

Just how powerful is the small change dropped into the Donation Box?

1. If every McDonald’s customer donated a penny in the Donation Box, it could raise over $116 million to support children in need and their families worldwide.

2. A full Donation Box could let a family stay together at the Ronald McDonald House for up to 2 nights while their child receives care at a nearby hospital.

3. A full Donation Box could provide a child with a dental screening in a Ronald McDonald Care Mobile.

4. Change in the Donation Boxes can give families a place to rest in the Ronald McDonald Family Room, just steps from their child’s hospital bed.

Show your support when you see a Donation Box at a McDonald’s, and drop in your spare change. Spread the word and suggest to your friends and family that they do the same.
